A lot. Griffin Wharf in Boston, site of the Boston Tea Party, was named after ancestors of our President and COO Karin D’Eramo.
As Karin heard the story, members of the Griffin family eventually settled in Maine. Generations after the rebellion turned Revolution, family members heard tales of the wharf in Boston where the now famous event had taken place. Knowing their ancestors held rights to the wharf, descendants as close as Karin’s great- great-great- grandmother, hired an attorney to go down to Boston and solidify ownership.
With retainer fee and documentation in hand, the attorney went to Boston to secure the deed to the property. Regrettably, the attorney returned some time later a wealthy man, but reporting an inability to secure the family’s deed for Griffin Wharf.
That explains the Griffin. Stone represents the foundation we have laid as a New England-based insurance provider with roots as deep in the community as the very beginnings of this country. Plus, when it comes to managing your risks and providing strategic insurance advice, we rock. Really.
